Objectives of PFH Print E-mail

Knowledge
To educate public on important social issues to enhance their capabilities of making informed and critical decisions on such issues. To achieve this objective PFH will:

  • Follow methods of scientific investigation and reasoning to ensure that unbiased information is communicated to the public.
  • Organize meetings, debates and discussions, presentations, lectures, and distribute publications through printed and electronic media to develop the knowledge base and awareness of the people.

Humanism
To promote secular humanism to strengthen social bonds among people of different ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds and for the general benefit of the society. To achieve this objective PFH will:

  • Provide secular-humanistic guidance in regard to meaning, purpose, values, and morals for human life and its relationship with nature.
  • Promote belief in goodness of humanity and socially responsible rational way of life.
  • Provide platform for social networking; plan and organize all activities in such a way that encourage and facilitate family participation in general and women in particular.

Service
To promote and engage in community service to help vulnerable and needy sections of the society. To achieve this objective PFH will:

  • Establish channels of communication and dialogue with the young generation. Organize youth activities and sports to provide creative alternative to youth to prevent their distraction towards drugs, gangs and gun-violence etc.
  • Help new and young Canadians in areas like employment, career/education counseling, settlement, health and other basic needs of life.
  • Counseling on social, family and personal issues like addiction, family relations, distress, and women rights etc.
  • Help and guide the public in using available social services
